Today is hatch day and we have a pip on one of the eggs. We have 1 dozen assorted chicken eggs due to hatch today. We have 17 duck eggs in another incubator that have a few more weeks to go. Last week we started 4 goose eggs in a third incubator. They were a little cold when they arrived. We have been hand turning those and are hoping for the best. Today is day 5 and I don't see anything yet. We will candle on day 7. My students are very excited, and I made sure that we have good homes for chicks, ducks, and geese when they hatch.

Good luck, I have 16 Pure Jersey Giant eggs do to start hatching tomorrow night. I have kids, and they love to watch the chicks hatch, and love to play with them after wards. It is a joy to watch their little faces when they get to see their first hatch.

My students love it. They circle the incubator and then have an outer circle standing on chairs looking over them. Two pips now, but nobody is out yet. I had today down for hatching day.... maybe tomorrow. Temp is 99.5 and humidity is 65%.

Just candled my 4 goose eggs tonight... and they are developing. They were so cold when they arrived I didn't think there was much of a chance... I'm so excited. Now I have to figure out if I want to spray them or not. I hate these decisions.

I had one hatch out this morning, right after I got the kids up for school. They were very excited, and I had a hard time keeping their faces out of the little sight windows, so they could get ready for school. Too fun, I hope to have several more when we get home tonight.

There were three hatched when I got to the classroom. Students got to see three more hatch during the day. Now we are up to 11. One more to go. I'm getting ready to put the dried off ones in the brooder as soon as I get the temperature just right. Cute little fuzzy butts.
