Can I hatch duck eggs in cartons like I do chickens? Does anyone have experience with this? My khaki campbell eggs are piped and I put them upright like chicken eggs. Should I lay them down? One has already made it out okay, but worried the others might have a harder time...

Lay them down is they are pipped! Don’t touch them right now, they should be in lockdown. Wdym in cartons?
Thank you for the advice. I removed from automatic turner and put into cut down cartons like I have done with chicks. Didn't know if ducks were different and had to be layed down. The reason I did this is because the first time I hatched chicks, they kicked around the unhatched eggs a lot and so I looked up what others do and found that a lot of people cut down egg cartons and hatch that way.
