Hi all,

I have six duck eggs (believed to be a muscovy breed) that have been in the incubator for nearly five days now. However, been laid and were with mother for about three days. I candled them today and I can see good development of veins but I noticed that there is a slightly darker line around the veins. It is not all the way around the egg but rather around the veins. What does this mean? Thanks!

Look up pictures of 'the ring of death' in eggs and bacteria rings and make sure it isn't one of them. other wise probably just normal development.

Thanks! Turns out that I had no need to worry because it was normal development!
