hi, i was wondering if any one could help me. trying to hatch some duck eggs, well two eggs, and i was wondering how i find out if there fertile? iv held them up to light and they look clear apart from it being dark at one end??

How long have they been in the incubator for?

When you say you have held them up to the light do you mean that you have candled them by shining a torch through them in a very dark room?

You should be able to tell if they are fertile or not by about 7 days of incubation. You would see a spidery network of veins if they are developing.

In order to develop eggs also need to have been handled gently before setting and to be not too old (ideally under 10 days old and stored in a cool but not cold place).

Fingers crossed for your eggs :)
