ok so i put 4 eggs in my incubator to see if they were fertilized. It turns out they are well two of them are i think i lost the other two somehow and anyway i gathered some more eggs from my flock and two of them had poo on so i wiped it off with water and towel is that ok? also i want more than two chicks but can i have one batch hatching in 2 weeks and the next in 3. will the older two bully the younger ones perhaps 6 or so? Thanks a bunch

Yes. The older ones will bully the new ones, the newly hatched will still be weak from hatching.

Integrating young birds/chicks is generally far less problematic than with older birds. Once the 'newly hatched' chicks are a week or so old you should have minimal problems putting all together. Provide adequate space!

you can lightly wash the eggs with water that is slightly warmer than the egg itself. However due to the natural coating that is covering the egg(protective film to help prevent contamination and disease of the embryo) from the hen I will not set excessively dirty eggs and wipe lightly Dirty eggs with a piece of burlap lightly. Hope this helps..

ohh unfortunately they got quite wet with cold water will this mean they definately wont hatch?

not entirely you can set them you will know within a week by candling them. I just wouldn't do it with the next batch though. no harm in trying. This is why I love this site. I learn something new everyday. Will you try to set them?
