I'm so glad I went ahead and ordered a second dozen of eggs because the first dozen still hasn't shown up and tracking still hasn't been updated since May 29 (it's been 'in transit' for 9 days now, never had such a delay on a Priority 2-day package).

Anyway, my girls (3 and 6yo) are really excited to get these and our local eggs in the incubator. I'm planning on unpacking these and letting them sit at room temperature with pointed end down/air cell up all day today and then putting them in the incubator tomorrow morning (to let them settle from shipping).

Any other tips for a first time chicken mama? I've had our incubator going and stable for the last week (99.5 degrees), lol waiting for our eggs to arrive, a little water in two of the water cells (what the person who let us borrow the incubator recommended, then fill the rest of the water reservoirs for the last 3 days). It does not have anything to measure humidity, just temp.
