hatching eggs from bobbi porto

what were your hatching rates from bobbi porto's hatching eggs (indigoegg.us)? Im planning to buy hatching eggs from her but i want to make sure she has good hatching rates

I'm sure that she has good hatching rates, however, when you ship eggs it lowers the hatching rate. Shipping is just hard on eggs. It doesn't matter if she hatches 100%, that doesn't mean that you will.

Everyone has different hatch rates. I may hatch 1 out 12 and another member hatch 8 out 12 from the same breeder. Just depends on your incubator and correct settings, etc.

I can't speak to Bobbi's Silkie hatch rate, but I ordered 12 Jersey Giant eggs, 10 made it to lockdown, and all 10 hatched!

Honestly, I order 3 orders from her and had them shipped from FL to NC. Out of the 7 dozen I ordered, I had a dozen chicks. HOWEVER, the chicks you hatch are well worth the money and effort.

I ended up with 4 out of a dozen. Two others started to hatch, but didn't make it. This was under broodies in a coop with other chickens. So that was also a factor.

I also think my local delivery is very hard on eggs because I've had even worse luck with eggs from somewhere else. They were all packed very well.

That said, I am THRILLED with the four I have and will order more. They are wonderful!!!!

i ordered 36 eggs and had them in for 1 1/2 weeks and then something happened to my incubator

when i broke open the eggs 32 of them had half formed chicks so if that tells you anything...... but it was completely my incubator, its an old one...
