how do you know when a egg is fertial does there need to be a blod spot in them please help

No, there shouldn't be a blood spot on a freshly-laid egg, unless it's a meat spot, which is totally unrelated. Every egg has a white spot on it. An unfertile egg's spot will just be that: a spot. A fertile egg's spot will look similar to a bullseye, with the spot in the center and a white ring around the spot.

you can candle it at around 12 days (don't ask me how)
or you can wait 21 days (if you have an incubator or a broody) and hope for the best.
