Dumb Question Here But Do You Need A Roo To Have Eggs Hatch

yes. For the eggs to be fertile (so they will develop into a chick) you have to have a rooster and hen.

Well to have a fertilized egg -YES... You need a rooster...

If giving the broody hen someone else's fertilized egg then no as she will sit (hopefully) the whole time and hatch them herself.

If getting someone else's fertilized eggs and putting them in an incubator again no.

In general to make babies you need a female and a male.... Some flowers and plants can make babies (seeds) without having another plant but then again they have both male and female parts

They do "birds and Bees" activity... Having a rooster can lead to a hen being fertile for a month after (it is what I have read but have no first hand knowledge)
