Hatching Eggs

Hi, I would like to hatch some chicks. Is there a way to make the hen become broody (we have a rooster) Please help!

Sry t tell you the simple answer to your question is no a hen will only go broody when she wants to and some will never go broody

If you leave a nest full of eggs a hen will be more likely to go broody - but it's never a sure bet. I recently wanted to have a broody hen and quit collecting eggs. After collecting eggs about 1 time a week for 3 weeks I had a hen start sitting on 11 eggs at the end of the 3rd week. She should hatch on Wednesday! Good luck!
