Hatching for the first time

so hi my name is vanna I have had chickens since I was young now I’ve decided to hatch some on my own totally new at this when I was a child I hatched chickens in a dresser drawer light an T-shirt didn’t turn them no humidity and they hatched just a light so I set the eggs for 7 days taking them as soon as they were laid candled them when they went to lockdown they all looked good so day 21 2 chicks hatched but both died so I have 6 left we’re at day 23 the eggs are rocking what’s wrong

I think my humidity was to high the information I received with my incubator says to run 50 to 60 1/18 days than increase last three days to 65 to 75 I keep it at 55 an seems everyone here is saying 30/50 I’m so confused

There's many knowledgable and helpful members here so this site should be a useful resource on your chicken adventures.

High humidity during the incubation process usually results in chicks dead in shell. If they have hatched then died I'm not sure. It could be any number of things. Best of luck with the rest of your hatch.
