Hi there! I'm on day 21 of my hatching, I only have one egg that survived incubation because shipping was rough. Only 3 developed then the other two stopped developing. This little one is the only one that survived! So.... My mind is going crazy because I want it to hatch:) yesterday (day 20) and today (day 21) she has been rocking the boat! She has been shaking and when I speak to her she will rock and rock. This morning it's more of a wiggle... And she is more still. Now my question, is it internally pipped? Because I don't hear anything and there is no external pip. But it's moving like crazy! And I'm a nervous mamma, especially because its my one baby... And I don't want to lift the bator to candle it, because of humidity! What should I do?

Please don't take this in the wrong spirit. I wish nothing but the best for you and your chick. I would leave the egg alone to hatch. Keep talking, and tap on the incubator window once in a while.

A single chick is so lonely. Chickens are flock animals, they need companionship for quality of life. If your little one hatches, she will bond with you. If she does hatch, after a day or two you can purchase a couple of chicks to keep her company, it will be much easier to raise her as a chicken.

I know that:) I already bought 2 one day old chicks ready for the baby. I was concerned about that. I have hatched before but there was a hen. So it wasn't me mothering

Just be sure to let your little one stay in the incubator for 24 hours or so until very steady on its feet. If they can talk to each other from the hatcher to the brooder, it will help build the bond.

Nothing is happening. It's just wiggling.... It's concerning that it hasn't pipped
