I was wondering if some more knowledgeable than me could pitch in and help others in this thread and also me I would really appreciate if some experienced hatchers pitched in and specified info on how to incubate certain types of birds what temperatures humidity and other things they need to be at to hatch what humidity and Temperatures at lockdown etc. i have hatched chickens and ducks before it was very fun but i wish it was easier to find the info on what you need to do I want to try hatching quail next if you choose to help this thread out with your invaluable experience and tips it would be awesome! Thanks all!

I often direct peeps to this article by Sally Sunshine,,,,, Much info in a single location.

Looking to see others respond to hatching the other birds you mentioned.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:
Thank you so much I appreciate your response I wanted this to be a very educational thread where a good amount of hatching info is within fingers reach because some are just starting out learning how to hatch but anyways I really appreciate it!

Almost all birds have the same body temperature so most species of birds except megapodes will hatch at the same temps and humidity as chicken eggs. While most species incubate with body heat of either the female or both parents, megapodes rely on the heat of the compost in their mounds.
Ratites can use a bit lower temperature. 97.7F/36.5 seems to be the sweet spot for hatchability and lower humidity throughout (30%).
Quail (and all gamebirds) need the same temps and humidity levels as chickens. Being so small, quail can benefit from extra heat in one part of the hatcher. Perhaps a reptile heat mat in one corner.
Increased humidity helps near hatching with all species.
The importance of frequent turning can't be overstated. Turning really should happen from the time the eggs reach temperature.
Additional important things are breeder nutrition and health, frequent egg collection, clean nests, fresh eggs, proper short term storage.
