I went through my first poultry hatch (shipped eggs). I got 50% hatched and I had tossed a few out when checking development so I could have had a 50%+ hatch rate which I hear is pretty much the median when dealing with shipped eggs. I weeded out some of the weaker birds (fed them to other animals) and I now have 10 "A&M" coturnix that are 4 days old.

I'm already considering getting some chicken eggs to hatch!

Thanks for the resources, these forums are great.

Um. I haven’t done a hatch yet. I have Easter Egger eggs planned for an April set & May hatch, and Ameraucana eggs planned for a May set and June hatch…I'm already addicted & I haven’t even started yet!

If I actually am able to sell some chicks, I will be doing this spring, summer, & fall! ❤️
