I had 2 arucauna eggs in the incubator, both pipped internally 1st one needed minimal help out of the shell 2nd one if i hadnt broken the shell and had a look would have been shrinkwrapped despite enough humidity to mist up the bator, hygrometer is telling me its around 70%. she had a completely white membrane almost as opaque as the outer one. i removed a fair bit of shell and just enough membrane to get her face out and wrapped her in a wet cloth and put her back in the bator to finish absorbing the yolk. im stressing that she wont make it. would reducing my chickens calcium intake make the shells thinner? they have extremely hard shells.
