Has anyone had a chick hatch on days 16/17 and actually live?? Mine are rolling around by themselves. A friend of mine said it's normal and some are just early to be active than others are...I'm still worried!

Should I enter lockdown early just in case? Or at least put some water in there? The humidity is nowhere near where it should be, because they're not even due for lockdown yet.

I took them out of the carton this afternoon to lay them on their sides...now all of them are just sort of rolling around as they please!

What is the earliest a chick can hatch and still live?

I've had eggs roll due to active chicks growing inside it's not that uncommon

Never second guess your game plan just stick with what you were doing

Earliest a chick could hatch if temps were a lil high would be day 19 or 20

Just keep a close eye on them

Thank you very much. I'm just a nervous wreck, this will be my very first hatch and I'm just

I did put water in there already. =/ Should I take it all back out and wait until day 18 as I had planned, then?

As long as humid isn't over 50% you should be fine, I'm n my 2nd hatch lockdown was yesterday...I know how nervous it can be for a first time hatch
