Ok guys, I just want to double check with people who have done this before, to make sure Im right before I lock down my eggs.
I put them (button quail eggs) in the incubator 5/23, they should go into lockdown tomorrow..and should hatch around 6/8, am I correct? I dont want to put them into lockdown too early or late. thanks

I don't have personal experience with buttons but from the advice I've seen from those who do you are on track. Lock down on day 13, so 6/5 for you, no more turning and up the humidity. Then your official hatch day should be 6/8, but I've seen it suggested to give them at least four days before you start to give up on any of them.
Good luck, and don't forget to post pictures!

Buttons should pop out on day 16-17, I stop turning on day 14 but I don't think 13 would be too early. Buttons seem to hatch better than bobs or coturnix so you shouldn't have too many problems. I have never had a button hatch later than day 17 and usually they all hatch on 16 however let the eggs go until day 19 just to be sure. Keep in mind they can fit where a large fly can fit so block any small spaces.
