Hatching question

We will be putting our eggs in on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, do we count that as day 1 or wait until the next day?? They won't be in a FULL day on the 22.

Start counting when you set them

The day you set them is day 0. The next day is day 1 etc.

Okay, thank you. I have not seen that answer in any of the books that I have and I was trying to search for it here, and just decided to ask.

Yeah, I puzzled over this with my first batch of eggs too. After 24 hours in the incubator, the eggs will have one full day of development, so, day 1 is really the day after you put them in. So, day 21 will be the same day of the week that you set them. If you put them in on a Monday, and your incubating conditions are ideal, you'd be expecting them to hatch on a Monday...
