If you read this thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/764550/aggressive-hen-need-to-figure-out-what-to-do-with-her you'll see that I recently lost a bantam and a frizzle to a bullying hen. But we still have the bantam's last egg tht she laid a few days before she died; my dad is talking about getting another incubator since my old one was shredded by some rescue kittens and attempting to hatch it. If there is a crack in the egg (there isn't, asking just in case) can it still be saved if it sinks in water? And will tape or hot wax protect it? How long can an egg survive without being brooded? The bantam's egg survived for a few days when she was hatched, but I just want to be safe. Thanks.

if it gets a crack, which I never had happen unless I dropped it by accident, and its not too large or open, yes you can put wax on the crack or nail polish. Good Luck!
