Today is day 21, and we have 8 silkie eggs in a Brinsea Mini Advance II. I incubated them in two groups and put them all together for lockdown. These poor eggs have been through so much! First, shipping was delayed (arrived on a Tuesday instead of a Saturday) due to a holiday. That meant that the eggs were due to hatch AFTER our move rather than before. We are staying in a motorhome until the new house is ready, and so I had to unplug the incubators and run them out to the RV and replug. Then the power went out briefly in the RV ... Ugh!

On the bright side, we have 4 eggs with pips so far, so I am optimistic!

Congratulations! I hatched silkies with the Brinsea last month. Great incubator. Good luck with your new babies!:)

How did the hatch go?
We just built our home here in Tennessee, and lived in our RV till it was done late last December. It’s taken until now to get the chicken coop built, because of all the rain we’ve had. It delayed landscaping what seemed like forever. Then I found out all the breeds I wanted were sold out, so I’m on my first hatching experience.
I hope all your silkies hatched well, and you’re able to get settled into your new place soon. I can’t imagine dealing with a hatch while a house is being built. I’d have gone mad. 🤪😱🤯
