We are feeling a little low in my household today. We set 9 eggs... only two made it. After performing an eggtopsy on those that did not hatch, a trend of fully formed chicks became clear.

4 never positioned, 2 positioned but not internal pip, one internal pip but no external pip. All eggs I have looked at have had their yolk unabsorbed to some degree.

To come so far and not finish is very frustrating. Please help me understand what happened, and recommend highly rated hygrometer and thermometers so this never happens again.

More info: I kept the humidity at 50-55 (more on the 55 side honestly). Temp was consistent 100. We had movement on the 18th day for all of them. Hatched in upright position. Hatching humidity was 65-70% relative.

:caf I had the same and my humidity was 45% for most of the time. Too hot/cold spots maybe. Move the eggs around the incubator, more often?
Thank you both. I appreciate your advice. On the bright side, we did get two beautiful chicks!
