Hatching under a broody- are the eggs done hatching???

Will do. I went out and checked on the silkie who is now sitting on her half of the shipped eggs (7 eggs) plus the 4 that the other broody gave up on for a total of 11 eggs. I should have marked the ones that the other broody gave up on but I didn't. One has hatched and two have pipped.

Today is day 23. Seven eggs have hatched out of the fifteen that I set (shipped eggs). Four hatched on day 21 and three hatched yesterday on day 22. The hen is still sitting on the eggs. I can't remember how many looked developed when I candled on day 18. Three of the eggs feel heavier than the others like there may be a chick in there. How long do I wait? Until the hen gives up on them?

Well, 7 is better than 4. I'd let the eggs go another 24 hours if the hen is willing to continue setting. Good luck for more chicks.

No more hatched. I ended up with 7 out of 15.
