Hatching w/ both an incubator and a Hen

Hello all, so going for my first hatch using the incubator. My question is has anyone tried incubation up until 3 days before hatch then move the eggs to a broody hen for hatching? If so. How'd it go? Thanks in advance

It can work especially if the hen has raised chicks before and/or is close to 21 days of setting.

I kind of thought that it could work, I've never hatched my own. At worst if the the hen decides to not help then I'm going to set up a heat lamp in a brooder box at 100 degrees on day 21. I really would rather not hatch them directly in the incubator.
