Has anyone ever dry-incubated AND hatched Black Copper Marans eggs successfully? No water the entire 21 days? I know someone who swears by it, but would like to hear from others. We are south of Dallas, Tx.

I like that you called that dry-incubated as most refer to that as dry-hatching.

I've never heard of anyone going through lockdown dry. Even if they've dry-incubated the whole way, I've seen them up it for the last three days. Usually those we hear of doing the dry-incubation live in states that have some relative humidity. Do you have much there? Like here in Wisconsin it averages 70% so we could do it, just I won't.

The indoor humidity for the house ranged from 44% to 47% today. Will that work? These are due to hatch tomorrow, Wednesday at 9:30 pm. Even though I have been adding water, should I stop now with another 26 hours left? The room is 81 degrees, with humidity at 44%. The incubator is at 99.5 degrees and 59%. I slept for 3 or 4 hours early this morning and the incubator went from 62% to 44% in that time frame. What do you think?
