Have a EE that lays blue eggs, do i need an EE roo or can I

I have an Blue egg laying EE. I also have a SLW rooster. Do i need an EE roo for a better chance of carring on the blue gene?

Also are EE's half Ameraucana and half any breed or are they EE's with EE's?

your best bet if your EE is already laying blue eggs, is to use a white egg layer like a leghorn..WHY? well they are EE so Nobody knows if the rooster you get have the brown egg shell traits, they are hard to get rid of.....and EE are just mutts of EE mutts...
