I just added more water to increase humidity for the call duck egg hatch. When I was adding water to my Hovabator, I overflowed the bottom pan and the cardboard egg crate I had set up with the
eggs in it got very wet. Do you think it will be OK or should I take the eggs out and place them on the floor instead? Am I just being a nervous Mom??

There is a hole cut out on the bottom for air circulation. Its not like the eggs are sitting in water. The cardboard is wet.

I'd change it out for dry, though call eggs are said to do better lying flat on their sides. You don't want that water condensing into the shell and drowning them. It sounds like it could be too much at this point.

Always! Be sure to tell us what you have learned with this hatch, be it good or bad! Good luck though!

Good luck, Vicki, I am counting on you to have a great hatch so I can do the same next week when I get my call duck eggs.
