Ok this will be my first time having chickens butchered. I ordered cackle hatcheries fry pan special of 50 large breed cockrels when should I have them done? They are 7-8 weeks old now.
What type are they. Most roos are good taken 12 to 16 weeks unless
cornish x rocks. I would give them as much high protein feed and corn as they can eat. Good Luck I'm in Indiana too.
I don't know what breeds... Some look like maybe RIR others are sex link males and about three will be brahma roos that I ordered that I will not keep.

I agree with the high protein part of your statement. However corn is basically carbohydrate and will convert to fat when processed by the bird. It's high in energy but Meaties don't really burn much energy so it just goes on as fat. If you want fat on your birds, then by all means, feed corn.
