Have you ever seen your Roo do this...

I was giving my little bantam cochins some broken-up pieces of a cracker. Now I've seen my roos pick a crumb and put it down for the girls to have. This little roo of mine picked up a piece and walked around the coop to give it to his girlfriend. I just about melted. Who knew that a roo could be so romantic?

That's so sweet.

I had a blue silkie roo for awhile that always gave treats to my blue silkie hen, and not to the other 13 hens of other breeds/colors that they lived with. She was his favorite and that was that. Roosters are such characters.

Well, I guess we've just got some really sweet roos!

Yes it is adorable and pretty common.
Many of my roos do the same thing with chicks to show them what to eat.

My roos do that also, some times I wonder when they eat as they are always feeding the hens
