OK my Wyandotte chicks are about 11 weeks now (not really chicks any more) and one hen is definitely NOT a hen and about 1 week ago I added some 7 week old hens (now 8 weeks if you are as bad at math as me!) 3 barred rocks and 1 buff orpington. They are all growing, the two groups don't mingle so much but I do not see any evidence of pecking on the younger birds, maybe because of the rooster? they all sleep in the rafters of the chicken house now, 6 feet up and rarely go in the small coop. That may change when they star laying ( 3more monthsish) any way here are some pics from this morning. This new little flock is coming together nicely.
