Hawks!

Had my chicks and wife's ducks wandering the yard yesterday. We were inside and had a feeling to go check on them. First noticed the ducks in the pin, odd. Then the chicks behind the house all hiding. Did a head count all there. Looked around and saw the reason. I thought since my yard is covered by big oaks the wound be off the radar. Guess not. It flew off to my neighbors house who also has chickens. Now that he knows they are there do you think he will be back?

Yes, I feel certain he'll be back. What I notice around here is a pair of hawks and they always circle overhead between 1-2 pm. I don't know if they always hunt certain areas on a schedule but I don't let mine out until 3-4 pm just in case.

me too,...I hate this. One of the baby chicks went missing and then we see the hawk. Last night it swooped at the ducks and they went running for the pen, Everyones on lockdown and miserable, me included.
