My name is Anna and I live in Garner, Texas

I have raised chickens for years, but just ventured to raise turkeys, ducks, geese, and another chicken that thinks shes a turkey. The hen hangs out with the turkeys, plays etc.but when they roost a night she just looks up, and then goes into her hen house with the other chickens.
Anyway, love this site and hay to Kuntry Girl, shes been a great help. I'm glad I joined BYC, you guys are full of knowledge and obviously love.

By the way how can you tell the age of the Turkeys, ducks and geese?

Hello and welcome to BYC

Sorry, can't answer your Q, I've only got chickens. But have a look in those sections.

Welcome to the forum! I just did a search to see how to age turkeys, and came up with nothing. (I'm usually pretty good at searching, too.) Maybe try posting the question in the relevant forums? There are so many nice people here, and it's unusual for me to not find the answer to my question with a search. Good luck!

Hay to country girl! Haven't been on here in about 2 yrs, hope everyone is well. Broken hearted I was, the last time I posted anything. We had to put 3 of our Royal Palms down due to incurable sinus infections. The vet said it was genetics, they did not have the gene to fight it off, not sure. We still have Princess, but I think she might be lonely Ok, I know she may not be lonely. Its odd to see the others with the same kind except for her, we also have Bourbon Reds, most of the time the toms look like they're playing king of the hill when mating, what's up with that?

Ok, we went to Canton Flea Market, and accidently came across some gray baby turkeys, yep 3 Blue Slates, and 2 Blues, they are now 2 mth olds I'm guessing. Anyway, so far, so good, just wanted to say hay, and wish everyone well.

Welcome to BYC! My wife and I were raised in Texas, and we have relatives in Weatherford (not too far from Garner). I'm a chicken person and don't know much about turkeys, ducks, and geese (I've had a few ducks), but I have to admit that ducklings are the ultimate in cute. You might want to get in touch with the members in our turkey, duck, and geese sections at https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/20/turkeys, https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/42/ducks, and https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/47/geese. Good luck with your flock.
