Hi I have a cayuga duck but he/she has a more raspy sounds than a quack. but is just growing in to the sound do you know what it is?

that means it is a boy. Girls quack loudly, and boys have that more raspy sound when they quack. As he grows older, you will also see him get a curly tail feather, which only boys have.

Ok thank you soooo much!!!

But I have seen our male duck on top of he/she and it looked like he was mating he/she and he did everything what do you think

Sometimes they mate just to show dominance. My females "mate" with other females to show who's the boss.
But he/she would make the sound and everything and the male duck would make the move that they do when they fall over what do you think?
