Head rubbing

Ella, my Light Brahma, has been rubbing her head against the chicken wire. We covered up the entire side of the run so she couldn't see the other chickens but she still rubbed. We dusted the coop with DE, so we're assuming it's not mites. She keeps scratching herself to the point where she bleeds. What do we do about this? Thanks

Hmmm..that is strange. The only thing I can come up with is put a little of Vaseline on her comb, maybe it's dry and irritating her, or triple antibiotic ointment. Hope she gets better!

Yes, that should be fine. If you go to your local fees store, look for Bag Balm, that might really do the trick! If not, the coconut oil will do! Keep me posted in the next few days!
