My Broody Hen Fuzz had three little babies. Zeeba, Gem, and Bolt. They were about 3 weeks old. One morning, when checking up on them, one of the baby chicks was missing. Another one was on the ground, with only the body remaining. The head was gone. feathers were all over the ground. Gem was the only baby chick who survived. 
I'm almost in tears writing this. I miss them so much, and the mother expecially misses them. Gem is now terrified. The holes in the chicken shed are now repaired. Whatever it was, came back the following night. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? It's bigger than a rat, but smaller than a coyotee. My brother just saw a qucik glimpse of it running away. We set a live trap outside the chicken shed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
