In the Brooder
Last year I ordered a few chicks for a backyard flock so we could have healthier eggs & chickens and so we could know exactly what we were feeding our family. After getting the initial flock, and learning more and more about them, I decided this year to get some more chicks and focus on certain breeds. Things are a little out a hand now, as we have almost 100 chickens. LOL. All of our family & neighbors are enjoying the eggs and we are enjoying this new hobby.
We now are focusing on raising Ameraucanas, French Black Copper Marans & Barnevelders, although we also have some Plymouth Rochs, Orpingtons, Leghorns, Easter Eggers and some really cool Polish bantams.
