Nancy - 4 month old Cuckoo Maran

Michelle - 14 week Light Brahma

We've heard crowing 2 days in a row now and have 2 potential candidates for our rooster. Maybe both?

I bought chicks at our local feed store Labor Day weekend so they are about 4 months old. The top 2 pictures are the Cuckoo Maran who was a few weeks old at the time and I'm pretty sure Nancy is a he.

The second set of pictures is a light brahma. She's 14 weeks old and just as big as my full grown americaunas, maran and australorp.

Any thoughts or anything else we should be looking for? I don't see any spurs yet but perhaps they are too young? I'd hate to get rid of a perfectly good hen!

Thanks but it stops as soon as I go out there. I've read that there are some feather/color differences - anything I should be able to see at this point?

Nancy is 10000% a boy. Could you post closer pics of Michelle's tail area? I think I see saddle feathers coming in, which would make her a boy too.

they are both male . there are three reaso ns to show this. hackle and saddle feathers are pointed and shiny, they both have downward curving tails and they stand tall and proud like a rooster does.

Closer picture of Michelle's back. Are those rooster feathers?
