Hi all,
Henelope our barneveldor is 11 months old. She had bumblefoot pretty bad, today when I went to get her ( was waiting on a delivery of everything we needed) she was lethargic, panting and pale. I scooped her up brought her inside gave her a cool bath for 30mins. She perked back up. We then fixed her foot and I set her up a recovery room. But she still hasn't drank or ate. Shes still lethargic and pale.
I have hydro hen water by her. And her feed, soldier larvae, strawberries, scrambled eggs with fresh oregano, some leafy greens, half a corn on the cob and frozen watermelon rinds.
Please tell me its normal not to drink or eat right away?

Heat exhaustion doesn't go away in a couple hours, it can actually take days to fully recover from. I would keep her inside and cool until evening or even tomorrow morning. Once they get heat stroke, they are prone to get it again for the rest of their days.
