when can I take the heat lamp off

Depends very much on the age of your chicks and the ambient temperature. Supply us with those, please.

I have 2 chicks and is 4weeks old in the other pen i have 3 quail 3 weeks old and i the othe pen i have 2 quail and are 2 weeks old.

I always say start at 95 degrees then go down 5 degrees each week til you get down to the outside temp or until they are feathered out. I've only raised chickens, not sure about quail. Will

My 4 and 5 weeks old chickens have feathered in really well...so they no longer need the heat source. I am no expert on quail...so I'll leave that for someone else.
