Heat Source Question

I'm building my own cabinet style incubator and have run into a little self inflicted problem. I planned on finishing the incubator on Monday and my heat element never showed up. Yesterday my eggs arrived in the mail and still no heat element. I called GQF this morning and they still haven't even shipped my order. Can I just wire in a lamp to use as a heat source? If so, what type and what wattage should I use?

Depends on how big your incubator is. My Top-Hatch runs with a 60 watt bulb (one of the little ones).

i got one that size and use two 100 watt light bulds in it.
