My eggs are on day 15. I have a separate thermometer and hydrometer in the incubator because I don't trust my incubator. For the first 12 days I kept raising the temp because the inside thermometer would not get to 100. On day 12, my daughter and I candled a few eggs. We didn't want to do all 56 at once.
When we closed it back up, I moved the thermometer over two rows. The next time I checked it, it was reading 101! I'm thinking that it has been 101 the whole time now and I lowered the temp.
I know it will effect the hatch rate, but did I cook them all? A couple of the babies moved while we were candling, but I'm really worried that the heat was too high for too long. And I'm worried that I killed babies.
It is not a still air incubator, so I don't know why the thermometer registered a degree difference from left of center to the right of center.
Thoughts on how bad this is going to be and any advice would be welcome.
