Heating Pads in nesting boxes?

Is that accurate? or would that be a bit too small

Generally 4+ is recommended, but three COULD work, I suppose, as long as there's lots of ventilation and the food+water are in the run, not the coop. You may want to enclose the space under your coop to enlarge your run a bit.

You could try insulating the boxes. Hens like curtains; I've got curtains on some of my boxes and those are the favorites. In regard to the eggs freezing, if you get them in the morning and afternoon it should be alright. How cold does it get where you are?
