heating ring on incubators

Has anyone had a chick burn themselves on the heating element ring at the top of these LG bators? It just seems awful low and I've burned myself already(totaly accident from my stupidity). I must say I'd hate for a chick to stand up and burn themselves. I dont remember how tall they are but obviously I cant keep taking chicks out when I'm in lockdown and putting them in the brooder. Has anyone had any experience with this? I dont see why they dont make this taller.
