I read all this stuff on worming and antibiotics for peafowl(IB). but I'm noticing it does nothing for them like a heatlight. I have wormed my chicks, elder chicks, adults and antibioticed them and they still sniffled. I give them a heatlamp and they get healthy. These are not small birds either. 2 are half the size of full grown adults. But watching them crouch down, I felt they need heat. They are inside a nice clean tight coop also. no drafts and clean deep litter. At first I didnt think heat would be an answer, considering their housing situation is perfect but it turned out to be the "best" answer.
So try giving them some heat when these cold temps begin to take over. I noticed they horded the heat at first, then they slowly acclimated themselves to the changing outside temps going outside more often than not at all. now they are hardly in the heat, have no sniffles and are more energetic. I'm leaving the heatlamp in thier pen.
