heavy breathers

has anybody experienced heavy or rapid breathing on week old chicks? more so than the others. shud I be concerned? thanks guys

Is it open mouth breathing? What does your brooder look like. Heavy breathing can be from them being too warm or it could be a respiratory infection. Good ventilation and keeping the brooder clean can help prevent things like brooder pneumonia. Also they need to be able to get away from the heat.

no open mouth. long area, they can get away. I took em back.
