Hello! So I'm new here, but I've been raising chickens and visiting this website for about 5 years now.

So I have 23 chickens (19 large-fowl and 4 bantams: all hens) on a 2 acre plot in the middle of nowhere in the California Central Valley.

I have 5 Barred Rocks, 3 Easter Eggers, 1 White Americana 2 Black Jersey Giants, 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Leghorns, 1 Black Sex-Link, 1 Speckled Sussex, and 2 Rhode Island Reds.

My bantams include a Splash Cochin, a Birchin Modem Game, and 2 Golden Sebrights.

I also show them.

Welcome to BYC. I'm glad you decided to join our flock. At one time or another over the past 50 years, I've had all of your standard sized breeds and hybrids and you have a nice mixed flock. Black Sex Links have become my very favorite as they are hardy and friendly, egg laying machines. I've raised them for years and they have been my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 eggs per hen per year. Easter Eggers are my granddaughter's (pictured in my avatar) favorites. She loves their colored eggs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
