Good Morning! This site has popped up in a lot of my searches so I thought I would make it official and become a member. I have fallen down the rabbit hole pretty hard. I started a couple of weeks ago by randomly taking a friends 3 hens. We very quickly built a coop and run for them and I fell in love with these little turds. 2 Rhode Island Reds and 1 Black and Gold Wyandotte. That escalated very quickly and this weekend I made a brooder and got 4 babies. 2 Barred Rocks and 2 Buff Orpingtons. They are the cutest little things and I love snuggling them. The goal is to raise them to be loving and snuggly because I'm "that" person. I love my hens but the Wyandotte is the only "snuggly" one and you have to catch her. I feel like at this point, the next step is more land so I have room to go nuts! Other than our chickens, we have 3 dogs and a ball python. I didn't realize until my husband said yesterday that we have 11 animals! I'm sure that isn't much to some but for us...Anyhoo, thanks for the add and I look forward to chatting about chickens.
