I'm a "recycled" BYC member.....it's been 4 ...no, 5...years since I had "The Girls" and their hen house in my life. We've relocated to Escambia County, FL. I need to completely start over, and so I'm looking for 1) chicken tractors/coops/nest boxes and 2) pullets and/or hens.
I'd prefer Choc. Maurans, Americaunas, and any other brown-egg layers. I've located a few suppliers within a short distance, but would appreciate locating BYC member-breeders if possible.
When in Marion Co., I had about 35 hens, mostly RIR and Americaunas with a few Barred Rocks and others mixed in. It'll be way scaled back here, as we no longer have acreage and have only 1/4 acre.
I'm looking forward to reading up on what's new in the chicken world while I try to find my new batch of "girls."
Thanks!
Margie
