Hello! Again? :)

Hello! I was a member, many years ago, when I had chicken questions. Sadly, my last chicken died a while ago. She was an only chicken for about 6 years (the last of the flock) and became quite the pet during that time.

The coop was empty and sad, and I wasn't wanting more chickens, so yesterday we came home with a bonded pair of geese. This is my first foray into waterfowl.

Despite extensive Googling...I have questions.

They are adorable, are they a mated pair ?

Yes! I don’t want to breed them, but I thought a bonded pair would just be happier, or more content, in their role as pets.

The lovely woman I bought them from was also happy that they wouldn't end up as dinner.

They are not overly tame, but easy enough to be around...so far!
