Ok--I took the plunge today and picked up 2 Dominickers, 2 Buff Os, and 2 Light Brahamas day old chicks---and welcome all and any advice! I am very excited to join the group and can't wait to watch my very first flock take shape. This is our first night, and I hope I have the right balance of light and shade and water and feed to keep them healthy and happy.

Thanks in advance for the help I am going to need---

Thanks :) I love the wolfy look of yours! Max is a rescue so I have no idea what he is made of. I am sure there is Am. bulldog, pointer, and boxer--some combo of those. He is my first dog and it's like he can read my mind. I know he will be a good protecter of the flock!

I have got to quit going to check on my chicks every ten minutes! I have had them for 3 hours and I can't quite worrying about them---they are going to be fine--right? :)
 
Why thank you! Sasha is a high content Wolf Dog. Very interesting combination of breeds. He's a very handsome lad and should be a great protector. The first night is defiantly the hardest. I'm sure you babies will be fine though. Welcome to the Poultry addiction

Thanks...and of course I read after I posted about your menagerie and saw that your dogs were wolfy--hence the wolfy look! Quite handsome and I bet the Great Danes are pretty gorgeous too! I love a big dog!
 
Oh yes the Danes are beautiful minus the fact they love to eat me out of house and home

. I'm more of a fan of big dogs as well. I actually never had any intention of owning a small dog until the chiweenie showed up on the porch. Now she owns the house
