Bullmaker
In the Brooder
I recently retired and now am at the farm full time. We decided to add a small laying flock for eggs and fun. First there was the job of fixing a coop. We have an older shed next to the house and barns that was used for cattle loafing in the corral. With some material and sweat equity we now have a coop for our girls. I used some heavy metal cattle panels with 2x4 spacing because the cattle with still have access to this pen during weaning and sorting.
We started with pullets ready to lay and have 8 of 10 in production now. 6 golden comets, 2 barred rocks, 2 americauna.
I have enjoyed reading the forums and reviews on this site and wanted to take the next step.
